I dont iron. My mother doesn’t iron and therefore neither do I.
Sure I wash up, cook, clean, vacuum & mop floors etc but I have a strict no ironing policy in my life. I have never owned an ironing board nor an iron.
It is entirely possible that the reason I don’t have kids is that I avoid men who I might want to have kids with due to my dangerous allergic reaction to ironing boards.
How do I manage? – well I only buy clothes with lycra or stretch fabric in or dry clean only. There is also a firm no linen and no white shirts rule in my wardrobe.
So when in this great short I was in recently, ‘The Redfords’ directed by Matilda Robinson, she required me to have a real action fight with the ironing board there was no acting required. I was truly brilliant even after 5 takes, spontaneous full on fighting with the dread machine. I am terrified of irons too but no switching on of power tools is a permanent rider in all my contracts. 😉
Great experience with cast and crew, always weird arriving on set to meet one’s husband and daughters but since I have now reached yummy mummy status (???!) I am getting used to it 😉 Hope you having a lovely day
